Logline: As 24-year-old KATIE’s beloved father JOHN is set to be released from prison, she must confront her unwavering loyalty to him while reexamining the breakdown of her relationship with LULU, the childhood best friend who accused him of raping her at the end of a magical lakeside summer.

Biography

Olivia Silver is a narrative filmmaker who grew up in Connecticut and California. She wrote and directed the feature Arcadia, starring Oscar nominee® John Hawkes (Winter’s Bone,) which won the Crystal Bear at the Berlin Film Festival, the Adrienne Shelley Award at the Nantucket Film Festival, the Grand Prize at the Cine Junior Festival and was distributed by Film Movement. At the script stage, Arcadia was selected for the Sundance Producing Lab, the Film Independent Directing Lab, and IFP/No Borders.

Olivia’s short film Little Canyon premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and screened at numerous other festivals including Edinburgh and Denver. She holds an MFA in film directing from UCLA and graduated magna cum laude from Williams College. Olivia has worked for the Oscar nominated® writer/directors John Sayles and Hany Abu-Assad. She is a dual U.S.- French citizen and currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.
